Megan Watson has more than 25 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate complex family law matters. A partner at BKW Family Law LLC, Megan represents clients in all types of family law matters as well as supporting the LGBTQ community by pursuing name changes and partnership agreements. She also serves as a mediator and arbitrator and has successfully argued before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, helping shape Pennsylvania law related to parentage.
Lisa Shapson, also a partner at BKW family law, represents clients from Pennsylvania and New Jersey in matters involving divorce, custody, adoption, support, and protection from abuse. Known for her compassionate approach, Lisa is also an experienced mediator and collaborative lawyer who helps clients pursue practical, lasting resolutions.
Joni Berner, the firm’s founder, continues to serve clients as of counsel with a focus on mediation, collaborative divorce, conflict coaching, and limited-scope representation. Throughout her distinguished career, Joni has remained committed to helping families resolve disputes through respectful, solution-focused approaches whenever possible.
Margaret Klaw, also of counsel, brings more than four decades of family law experience to the firm. In addition to providing trusted and excellent representation, Margy is a respected author whose work reflects her deep understanding of the legal and personal challenges families often face.

Anna Mattis has been selected to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list for 2026. Jackie DiColo has also been selected to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list for 2026. Her selection to the Rising Stars list reflects the dedication and client-focused approach she brings to every case.
What Is the Super Lawyers Selection Process?
Super Lawyers is a rating service that selects attorneys from more than 70 practice areas through a patented multiphase selection process. Candidates are identified through peer nominations and independent research before being evaluated using multiple indicators of professional achievement. The highest-scoring attorneys undergo peer review within their practice area before the final selections are made.
No more than 5% of attorneys in each state are selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers list each year. The Rising Stars list recognizes outstanding early-career attorneys who are either under age 40 or have been practicing law for 10 years or less, with no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state selected.
