Congratulations to Margaret Klaw, who has been signed by Algonquin to write a non-fiction book based on her family law practice. The work is tentatively titled The Prenup and the Porsche, scheduled for release in 2013; any movie contract will include guaranteed parts for Margy’s stunningly beautiful daughters, Zoe and Robin.

Staff Engagements

Three very wise men proposed to three very intelligent and lovely women during September 2012. Considering the type of law practiced here, we are bursting at the seems and have been grinning from ear to ear upon hearing the joyous sounds from the West Wing (a/k/a law clerk office) with news that all three of the firm’s 2012-2013 law clerks recently became engaged:

Congratulations to Inna Goykhman, who said “yes” over spaghetti and meatballs on September 19, 2012!

Congratulations to Casey Rose Shevin, who said “yes” on September 22, 2012 during a weekend at the beach to celebrate their seven-year anniversary!

Congratulations to LaDonna Harriott, who said “yes” at 30th Street Station on September 29, 2012 (not that there was any pressure on Andrew, who, clearly, had been planning his proposal for quite some time!)

Joni Berner, Lisa Jordan and Lisa Shapson will serve on the 2012 Family Law Institute CLE panel scheduled for April 19, 2012.

Joni Berner was elected President of the 2012 Board of Directors for the Women’s Therapy Center at their annual meeting in January 2012.
