Things are not always fair in love and litigation.

Some clients come to us because they are not on speaking terms with their opponents and resolution through ADR methods is not an option. While we still aim to resolve cases out-of-court, litigation is the process where each party presents their side of the dispute to the court and the court makes the decision.

The litigation process starts with filing a complaint and, in some cases, motions or petitions thereafter. But just because a complaint is filed doesn’t mean your case will wind up in court. Whenever possible, our goal is to help parties reach agreements.

If one party does not agree to trying to resolve a dispute out-of-court, litigating in court may be your only option.
